Alinkov Farm
The Alinkov estate near Čermákovice is a rare testament to the Hutterites, who lived here around 1600 and established their communities. The enclosed estate, with its residential buildings, mill, and farm buildings, connects the history of the Hutterites with centuries of regional life – and remains in its original form to this day.
Preserving history
The historic buildings are threatened by decay. We are securing, renovating, and conserving the original building fabric step by step – not to rebuild the past, but to preserve the original. In the long term, the courtyard is intended to become a place of remembrance, education, and encounter, open to all.
Cooperation
Saving the Alinkov farmstead can only be achieved together. We welcome experts in historic preservation, crafts, and research, as well as institutions and schools that would like to collaborate with us, and volunteers and sponsors who support our project. Please get in touch – any form of collaboration is welcome.

Preserving Together
Goals and visions
Preserving History Together
A unique place. A precious testimony of the past. A responsibility for the future.
We have set ourselves an ambitious goal: to rescue Alinkov Farmstead, preserve it and open it to the public.
An Extraordinary Place
Alinkov Farmstead is a significant testimony to the history of the Hutterites. Its roots go back to the late 16th and early 17th centuries – a time when the Hutterites lived in this region and built their communities.
Yet the farmstead is more than a historic building. Here, the history of the Hutterites is intertwined with the history of the entire region. Even after the Hutterites had left the area, people lived and worked here for generations and left their mark.
A Heritage at Risk
What has survived for centuries is now under threat. The historic buildings urgently need protection, restoration and professional conservation. Any further decay means the irretrievable loss of a part of our history.
That is why we do not want to wait any longer.
We are actively preserving Alinkov Farmstead.
Our first goal is to secure the remaining historic heritage: to carefully examine, stabilize, restore and conserve the surviving structures. The aim is not to rebuild the past, but to preserve the original and keep its story alive for the future.
Our Vision
We dream of a place where history is not only found in books, but can be experienced, understood and passed on – for visitors, families, schools, researchers and everyone interested in the history of the Hutterites and of this region.
Alinkov Farmstead is to become a place of remembrance, education, encounter and cultural connection.
It is especially important to us to convey its history authentically and respectfully. The surviving buildings, traces and stories should speak for themselves.
How You Can Help
Saving a historic site is a major undertaking. It requires expertise, time and financial resources.
Every contribution helps. With your support, we can:
-
secure historic parts of the buildings and protect them from further decay
-
carry out necessary restoration work
-
professionally conserve the original building fabric
-
document the history and the traces that remain
-
open the farmstead to visitors step by step
-
preserve this unique cultural heritage for generations to come
-
Act Now
History is not just dates and old documents. It lives in places, in walls and in the traces of the people who lived there before us.
Alinkov Farmstead is such a place.
What still exists today may be gone tomorrow. Future generations should not only know this place from pictures, but be able to experience and understand it for themselves.
An endangered historic site is to become a living place of history.
For this, we need people who share our vision – people who say: This piece of history is worth saving.
